Survive What?

crucial to Real survival. Every such gain we make must have a universal, inclusive focus, as well as a here-and-now practical application. Sitting on one's can of mung beans in one's bombshelter, with a rifle in one hand and Howard Ruff's latest book in the other is a mistake.

And Yes, a comet COULD hit the earth at almost any time, and it would have disastrous effects on your weekend plans, not to mention on the world. But since we can do little to alter that possibility, why not focus on what we CAN reasonably prepare for? How can we improve immediate safety in our own homes, today? What protective tips can we share at the next Neighborhood Watch meeting? How can we avoid the unhealthful foods found in grocery stores and restaurants?

How can we prepare ourselves, our homes, our families for earthquakes (if we live in California)? What can we do to be strong and ready if rioting occurs (this applies to a number of places in the world right now, including Los Angeles) in our areas? What can we do politically to protect our right to defend ourselves? What can we do to improve the air-quality, water-purity, traffic-safety, etc. of our cities?

(Do unto others as you would have them do unto you)

As for worrying about "Armageddon," let's consider what that means. After all, it all depends on your point of view. Japanese in Hiroshima experienced "Armageddon" some 50 years ago. Native Americans experienced "Armageddons" such as Wounded Knee, Fort Laramie, and the Trail of Tears. Africans on Africa's west coast experienced their form of "Armageddon" when they were enslaved (originally by their own people) and then sold off to foreign lands. Just 50 years ago in "civilized" Germany, Jews and gypsies experienced their unique "Armageddon." People in Ireland, Bosnia, El Salvador, and other areas of the world are experiencing "Armageddon" right now.

It is worthwhile to seriously consider what you mean by "survival" and under what conditions. We don't think that a German style reign of terror will happen in the U.S. this year for example, but given the right conditions, and complacency and ignorance among the people, it could happen within our lifetimes.

The wholehearted pursuit of honest, intelligent, Right-focused lives ourselves (which includes preparing for "anything," even a genocidal dictatorship) is the best action we can take for all.
